How I killed my Acne

Hello, hello!

First of all, gommenasai and jwei sung ham ni da!
Haven't been blogging much these few months, but I DO have a valid reason! Just finished my final semester in University, and with that i mean my Senior Project (or FYP as most of you know it)-it was a hassle trying to finish the report, survey, and presentation all on time, THANK GOD it's finally over now, so I can relax like a boss. What's left now is just an internship in August! *dancing around in joy

Oh well, I digress. So well about what I'm going to blog about today: my skin problems that i have been having for a couple of years, namely my ACNE (uuurgh don't you just hate those four letters). I will be posting a series of blog posts about what WORKS for my skin and what DOESN'T WORK.

What makes me qualified? Well as I deprived myself of so much money and time and I SURVIVED, I guess I am qualified, so just TRUST me laaaa.

Here are a series of photos from December last year until right now in April 2013:
Note that in all my pictures I didn't use any foundation as I was afraid of aggravating my skin.
(prepare to be disgusted, you have been warned)

Last December (2012) at a friend's birthday-notice my skin,
this wasn't considered REALLY BAD then

In December as well later on

Beginning of the year in January! Attended a Nuffnang event,
(i know i can't believe I left the house looking like this too,
I guess I'm just brave lol) look at the condition of my skin!!
Feb 2013: Don't know how i can smile so bright -.-
It got worse around this period, just IMAGINE going through
Chinese New Year with this skin

Feb 2013 as well, right smack during Chinese New Year,
a depressing and devastating period, i think i will blog about it too XD

After switching to American product Acne.org, skin peeling period,
this was taken end of March

The beginning of April! You can see here (if you can, the picture is a bit dark)
that my skin was smooth already, what was left was red marks only

Last Friday! 19th of April, skin improving at leaps and bounds,
Happy sial

SO? What do you think?
Can i just say that I'm so happy right now, hehehe, you don't know how good skin gives you confidence until you actually experience really bad skin. And those who tell me that "Happy skin reflects a Happy you" or whatever like that sort, I can just tell you that's it's a load of BS and insulting for us who had bad skin: are you telling me that I was unhappy all the time so I got bad skin?

OKOK, i knowwww, time to let go and all that. However I have a lot to say about issues like that, so I'll leave it for future posts! hahaha.

CHEERS!

Oh and i did teeth scaling too, can you see a difference?

Snow, snow, snowww!

ADUUUUIIII my readers are dissappearing due to my procrastination and stubbornness not to blog.

well here comes a fun-packed punch of a post! :)

let me ask you: where in Genting do you get to chillll the hell out of your bones, need to stuff your mouth to keep warm, and lastly where you come out of it feeling WARM in Genting??

whaaat?? where??

WELLLLLL Genting's Snow World la of course!

TA-DAHHH newly launched in January 2013, it is looking splendid and spankingly new in all its glory.

awesome ehh?? the little people in pink and red are mostly us the media :))))
ON the 23rd of January, Snow World Genting was officially launched (yala i know la most of you went already before that but obviously you didn't go during the launch kan?? and it was more awesome okayyy, it is! it isssss!) with a big bang and lots of smoke i mean flakes that stuck to your clothes and hair.

For those who are plenty skeptical about the "fake" snow and "fake" temperature, let me assure you that yes although it is fake but the overall atmosphere that was generated felt pretty real. Well, my frozen nose felt pretty real to me!

brrrrr sejuk sangat! COOOOOOLD
Well i was feeling pretty sunburnt due to the pre-CNY (Chinese New Year) weather and the lack of rain and all so i decided to be brave and hiked (joking) up to Genting in just a candy red H & M sweater, shorts and sheer tights. BELIEVE ME i suffered. I think I couldn't feel my legs by the time i left the super-low-temperature Snow World.

all bundled up and ready to go in--Genting
Snow World provides boots, gloves, and jackets
Not too crazy about the size of the gloves though, those with fingers like mine (small just like the rest of my body too -_-) will not fit into 6Y kiddy gloves nor into the M sized gloves (too big!) so your fingers might freeze off unless you bring your own gloves. The ones from Sunway Pyramid skating rink worked fine :)

The whole ceremony took about 20-30 minutes (probably worried that the media would freeze) and we were allow to bring in our cameras only for this time at our own risks--Genting has a strict protocol about cameras in Snow World, please don't try to bring yours in!

Itinerary of the launch:

opening dance!
it's a little bit far la i know but what to do--i was dwarfed by the high and mighties who were shoving recording devices and all. i bet the dancers were cold, though *snigger

speech by Executive VP YB Dato Kevin Sim
A really nice man who kept to the details and did not drag it out because he understood that we were itching to explore the place really!

"unveiling" of Snow World!
me by it afterwards, it changes colors!
exploring the Warm House, one of the icons there
lastly, a luncheon where we were served plenty of finger food
most of the media retreated to this warm cozy (considered) cove where we were fed and watered! See a bundle of pink at the right hand corner? that was us, hundling over hot tea and some finger food. The boys decided to be reckless and had some ice cream potong: crazy, right?

not about to leave before going up to the highest and coldest floor
and acting cute up there! XD
pic credits: Hu Boon and Mokky
After the launch we were entertained by a full-on lunch and playtime at the theme park. For once, Genting felt pretty warm to us already :/

yum yum yum at Coffee Terrace, my absolute fav dining place
ready, set, GO!
we tackled the Superman ride, the kiddy Merry-Go-Round, 4D movie of Little Prince, Bumper Cars, some kiddy Rocket Ride before going for some coffee and hot chocolate at Starbucks--all in all, a very fun day!

Rise of the Guardians!

got freeeeeee (ahhh, don't you love the word "free") tickets to the screening of "Rise of the Guardians", which i have been itching and hopping around waiting to watch it ever since i saw the trailer a few months ago! it really seems awesome and my kind of movie where you explicitly know that there WILL be a good ending--i can't sleep well after watching a movie with bad ending =/

soooooooo, Rise of the Guardians, ehh?
oops damn blur picture
anyways i think that it's really really Christmassy, you might want to save it for Christmas? typical movie lah  where good guys bad up, bad guy turns up, good guys lose but win at the end. Father Christmas somehow reminds me of the chief of the village in How to Train Your Dragon, right up to the accent, while the little elfs are similar to the ones in Despicable Me, hmm..Having a problem with originality already? We're doomed.

There are plenty of comedy in this movie, and with Father Christmas portraying a more dangerous and fierce man compared to the previous jolly old fat common version, so it's kind of a fresh new take--my verdict? Go watch it!

My favorite character so far happens to be Easter Bunny!is that typical of me?

Not until the credits were rolling that i found out Hugh Jackman voiced Easter Bunny, must be why he's so alluring and hypnotizing (*sighhh). At the end they even show him as a cute little bunny when he loses his power, hehe! couldn't find any pics of the cute version online though (online meaning Google images lah!) they must be really keeping a lid on the pics before it cinemas start playing the movie.

OOTD! still not sure whether the shoes
goes with my dress Xp
Been churning out assignments and presentations so much that i feel like a photostat maching or a printer right now, *beep beep beep* *thud* another work of mine is churned out! hahah waiting for the holidays right now. CHEERS!

SKYFALL

Cars ramming into each other, a fight on a running train, dead bodies, and last but not least the high adrenaline rush coursing through each and everyone of the audience-then Bond got shot and Moneypenny announced "agent down"; THAT'S how they introduced the all new Bond movie Skyfall.

did you know he's the shortest ever Bond amongst the Bonds?

Went for the premiere screening last night, and i am quite impressed by the movie (non-Bond fan speaking here), i think it's one of the movies that i actually enjoyed, since movies these days just give off the B grade movies kinda feeling.

After that then we were treated to the all new song "Skyfall" by Adele (quite luv-ley, by the way) through the opening credits, which incidentally, i thought was quite dragged out (do they need a whole solid two minutes just for the openings?)

okay la she's an awesome singer la
Other than that the movie was quite awesome, hehehe, the only thing i didn't want was for the old grounds keeper for Bond's old family home to die--HE DIDN'T! muahahaha, i don't know why, i just have a "soft spot" for him =D

told ja he's cute

Oh and the new Q was quite dashing too, reminds me of Andrew Garfield in a tall lanky geeky kind of way-must be the Brit-ness of it all, hehe!

What i like about this movie is that it is quite classic, using the classic James Bond music throughout the movie, and emphasizing on that the old is better "teach an old dog new tricks", "from the shadows", and also the whole chaos about M resigning.

So, my verdict? go and watch it! even if just to catch a glance of the Aston Martin DB5, the classic car of James Bond Xp

CHEERS!
