Happy Father's Day!

One week ago it was Father's Day, hahaha what did you do for your dad?
i stuffed mine with food :D

So after church on Sunday, (Big Bro Kevin came back from Singapore too!) we went for lunch at this place called Cheras Fish Head Restaurant in, well, Cheras.

we came by once or twice before with aunties and uncles from church and the food is okay-okay lahh~nothing much to shout about though.

Cheras Fish Head Restaurant
famous newspaper clippings from the past?
boiled vegetables with garlic oil

pork leg in vinegar

close up of the pork!
A lunch consisting of steamed fish, Pork leg in vinegar, vege, fried pork meat and some tofu cost about Rm 130 for around 10 people, so it's considered quite cheap lah considering the fact that Cheras is in KL.

For dinner, Kevin wanted to try this new place (usually we just go to the same places every week, Daddy loves the consistency and comfort in regular surroundings, i guess) in Seri Kembangan called Kien Kee Restaurant!

it's located at housing areas near the main road. Just turn in at the post office/Dewan Rakyat turning and spot for the Kien Kee Restaurant sign hanging.

Kien Kee Restaurant
When we arrived it was packed full! even the shoplots in the area is taken over by this restaurant, filling it with tables and chairs. waiters kept bustling by and one came up to ask how many pax are having dinner for our party, and then told us to line up until an empty table is ready. (not bad the system!)

well you know sometimes places like this you'll have to wait for tables to finish up you have to stand behind (or around) the table to let others know that you have "booked" the table so when they leave you immediately bump your backside on a seat to "grab" the table. i've always thought that this system is very barbarian-ish! hooligans waiting behind your table to grab seats and hooligans purposely eating slowly to "enjoy" having the upperhand -.-
Cute Teapot!

Spicy Soup

Fa Diu Chicken

Vege and Tofu

Drunk Prawns
The Fah Diu Chicken is definitely my favourite, followed by the spicy soup which NEEDS to be mixed with rice or else the pepper will be abit too hard to take in. That night i bet at least one and a half serving of chicken went into my tummy :D, while i surreptitiously stopped my younger brother from taking second servings by ordering him to leave it for elders! (Me lah obviously)

on the other hand, the prawns were very fresh, and having 2 or 3 prawns all at once is no problem at all! ahhahahaha~

the after math of our food tsunami lol
the total came up to about Rm140, not bad if you count in all our bulging tummies. Each serving for the Fah Diu Chicken and the Soup costs Rm10, so decide in advance how many servings do you want!

forgive the "unkempt" hair

cheers!
